Importing sessions
+Which file formats are accepted?
Harry's LapTimer and TrackAddict as CSV, VBOX as .vbo, and the Garmin Catalyst session summary as CSV. RaceChrono exports either CSV or .vbo, and both work. A generic CSV containing latitude and longitude columns is treated as a LapTimer export. The limit is 25 MB per file, which covers a full day at 10 Hz.
+My VBOX import shows no laps and no best time. Is that a bug?
No. VBOX doesn't record lap times: it records the trace and the speeds, and laps are reconstructed afterwards by the Racelogic software from a start/finish line. So a .vbo imported elsewhere arrives without a best lap. Distance and duration are still computed from the trace. A warning says so after the import.
+Why isn't my session temperature picked up?
Because none of the accepted formats contain it. Neither the Catalyst, nor VBOX, nor the CSV exports record ambient or track temperature — they are position and speed loggers. Temperature is entered by hand on the session, in the setup log.
+My circuit is not recognised.
The circuit name is read from the file when it's there — TrackAddict writes it as a comment at the top. When it's missing or unknown, the session is imported anyway and the name is typed once: it's saved and offered again on later sessions. No data is lost.
+My file is rejected. What now?
First check the export is a data CSV and not a video or GPX export, the two most common mix-ups. Then don't strip the lines starting with # at the top of the file: they carry the circuit and the date. If it still fails, the session can always be entered by hand — duration, distance and circuit are enough for the wear calculation.
The wear calculation
+Why is my brake fluid at 88% when I've barely driven?
Because wear is computed on two axes — distance and track hours — and whichever is more punishing wins. A 25-minute session puts more thermal stress into the fluid than 1,200 miles of road driving. An odometer cannot see that, and correcting it is exactly what the wear engine is for.
+I've fitted pads other than the factory ones. Can I adjust?
The service life applied depends on the brand and reference read off your invoice: a Pagid RS29 and an OEM pad are not counted the same way. If the result doesn't match your use, open 'Adjust service life' under the part's gauge and enter your own figures, in miles and in track hours. Wear recalculates immediately. Leaving the fields empty returns to the default.
+I have a big brake kit. Is the calculation still valid?
The engine doesn't know your caliper: it counts a part's wear from its fitting date, the mileage and the running time. A big brake kit changes the real service life of pads and discs, not the method. After a season of observation, correct the service life of those two parts from their gauge — that's the adjustment that makes the scale right for your car.
+When does a gauge go back to zero?
When an invoice containing that part is saved. The invoice date and mileage become the new starting point. A part can also be entered by hand, without an invoice, if you did the work yourself.
Account and billing
+How do I change my payment card?
From your settings, the 'Manage billing' button. It takes you to Stripe's secure portal, where you change card, download invoices, switch plan or cancel. StemmaPass never sees your card details and doesn't need to get involved.
+I pay through my company. Can I get an invoice with my VAT number?
Yes. At checkout, the Stripe page offers 'Add VAT number': filling it in puts it on all your invoices. If you skipped it, you can add it afterwards from 'Manage billing', under your customer information — subsequent invoices will carry it.
+Where do I find my invoices?
In the same billing portal, under invoices: they are all there, downloadable as PDF at any time. They are also emailed to you at the moment of payment.
+What happens to my logbook if I cancel?
Your vehicles, invoices and sessions stay. You return to the free plan: one vehicle and three invoices, with the public passport still active. Nothing is erased without an explicit request from you.
+How do I delete my account and my data?
From your settings, at the bottom: 'Delete my account'. You have to retype your address to confirm. Deletion stays reversible for thirty days — a restore link is emailed to you — then becomes permanent, with no copy kept on our side. Your subscription is cancelled immediately. Deleting a single vehicle is done from the garage, with the same grace period.
Resale and passport
+Does the public passport cost anything?
No, it's free, including on the free plan. It's a link to paste into a listing: it shows the servicing, the wear state and the track sessions, without exposing your name, your email, the VIN or the amounts.
+Does the White Book update? Do I have to pay again?
It's generated on demand from your logbook at the moment you download it: add an invoice, download it again, it's up to date. Access stays with that vehicle, with no further payment. You can also re-issue it under a different angle — resale, valuation or archive — as often as you like.
+I'm selling the car. Can the buyer take over the logbook?
Yes. From the vehicle page, 'Transfer this logbook': enter the buyer's address, they get a link and take over the full history on their account. The transfer is final — the logbook leaves yours, with its invoices and their amounts, so delete anything you would rather not pass on before sending. The public link you pasted into your listing stops working.
