Terms and conditions

Purpose
These terms govern access to StemmaPass and the sale of its paid plans. They apply from the moment an account is created, and accepting them is a condition of using the service.
StemmaPass is a digital service logbook: it records what you declare, derives wear estimates and due dates from it, and lets you publish a summary. It performs no servicing work and takes no part in any vehicle sale.
Publisher
Publisher: Thomas Vienne (EI). Legal form: Entrepreneur individuel. Registration: SIREN 130 409 303, Registre national des entreprises (RNE), 22/09/2026. Address: 16 chemin des Poutils, 91310 Montlhéry, France. Contact: contact@stemmapass.com. Publication director: Thomas Vienne.
The plans
Starter, free: one vehicle, three AI invoice extractions, unlimited manual entry, the servicing schedule and the public passport. Its alerts only report what has already crossed the critical threshold, at most once a month per part.
Road and Track, monthly or yearly: unlimited extractions, up to twenty-five vehicles, alerts from 61 % wear with no monthly cap. Track adds wear read on track hours, GPS file import and the track-day planner.
The White Book, a one-off purchase per vehicle: a PDF covering the history and the amounts, regenerable without paying again.
The current detail of each plan and its prices are on the Pricing page, which prevails.
Prices and payment
Prices are set in euros and carry no VAT: the publisher falls under the French small-business VAT exemption of article 293 B of the CGI and therefore charges no value added tax. No tax is added at payment.
If a local currency is offered to you, the amount is converted by Stripe at the rate it applies on the day of payment, and it is that converted amount that is charged.
Payment is handled by Stripe. StemmaPass neither receives nor keeps any card details.
A subscription is charged in advance for the chosen period. A one-off purchase is charged once and produces an invoice.
Term, renewal and cancellation
A subscription runs for one month or one year depending on the plan, and renews automatically for the same length at each due date.
You may end it at any time, without reason and without charge, from your settings — the Stripe billing portal opens there in one click. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for: the service stays open until then, and no further charge is made.
No pro-rata refund is owed for a period already started, other than through the right of withdrawal below.
At the end of an unrenewed term, an account returns to the free plan. Your data is not deleted: it stays readable, and only the paid features close.
Right of withdrawal
You have 14 days from subscribing to withdraw, without reason or penalty. Write to contact@stemmapass.com; no particular wording is required.
For a SUBSCRIPTION, which is a service: by asking for immediate access you request performance before that period ends. You keep your right, and only the portion of the service actually used remains payable, pro rata.
For the WHITE BOOK, which is digital content supplied without a tangible medium: the right of withdrawal is LOST once the document is downloaded, provided you expressly requested immediate supply and acknowledged that loss. That acknowledgement is collected before payment.
The free plan involves no payment and therefore opens no right of withdrawal: simply stop using it, or delete your account.
Availability
StemmaPass is provided as is, with no quantified availability commitment. The service may be interrupted for maintenance, or by a hosting provider.
Email alerts depend on mail delivery, which is outside our control. A missed alert cannot engage our liability: the logbook remains readable at any time.
Your obligations
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you declare — mileage, dates, parts fitted. Wear figures follow directly from it: wrong data produces a wrong estimate.
You undertake to upload only documents you are entitled to hold, and not to publish a logbook intended to mislead a buyer.
An account is personal. Sharing your credentials is your responsibility.
What StemmaPass does not warrant
StemmaPass presents what you enter or import. It verifies the authenticity of no invoice, except where a workshop certifies one itself through the link sent to it — and that certification then binds only that workshop.
Two automatic checks accompany every invoice, and it matters what they say. The file fingerprint attests that the document has not changed since it was stored, not that it is genuine. The company-number check attests that the company named exists and is still active in the public register, not that it issued the document. The evidence level shown in the logbook, the passport and the White Book reports that difference; it does not remove it.
Wear figures are estimates computed from theoretical service lives and declared usage. They replace neither a roadworthiness test nor a professional opinion, and cannot on their own justify a maintenance, safety or purchase decision.
Part suggestions are indicative. They are neither personalised technical advice nor a purchase recommendation, and quoted prices are orders of magnitude.
StemmaPass is not a party to any transaction between a seller and a buyer, and takes no part in their disputes.
Handing over a logbook
You may hand a logbook to a buyer. The vehicle then leaves your account for good, with its full history — invoices, archived documents and amounts included — and the public link you had circulated stops working.
The transfer is irreversible. Remove anything you would rather not pass on before sending the invitation.
Personal data
How your data is processed is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
You can export your data from your settings at any time, as a machine-readable file, and delete your account the same way. Archived documents are not in that file: they download from each invoice.
Intellectual property
The site, its texts, its wear engine and its graphics remain the publisher’s property. Your subscription grants you their use; it assigns you no rights in them.
The data you upload remains yours. We do not exploit it for any purpose beyond the service described in the privacy policy.
Changes to these terms
These terms may change. Any substantial change is notified to you by email before it takes effect, leaving you free to cancel without charge before it applies.
The version binding on you is the one accepted when you subscribed, until a new one has been notified to you.
Governing law and complaints
These terms are governed by French law. If you reside in another European Union country, you keep the benefit of the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
Any complaint may be sent to contact@stemmapass.com. We undertake to answer within one month.
